Isn’t It Interesting?

Have you ever thought about how interesting it is when we discover how little we REALLY need to live?Last month we were hit by IKE. For weeks people were without power, water and the services we all take for granted on a daily basis.

When all is said and done and we are without, we, family, neighbors, co-workers and strangers all bond together to help one another anyway we can. We quickly realize how little “stuff” means and how much our safety, health, water and food become important to us.

A big congratulations to the people of the cities that were hit by Ike that came to each others rescue. Isn’t it interesting that we often wait until there is a disaster before we come together and help each other? To realize what is really important to us in life? To appreciated every day we have the privilege to live on this earth?

Wouldn’t it be interesting if we all made a pledge, now, today, this minute to appreciate the small things in life? To not collect “stuff” and put such a high value on it? To help our neighbors, friends, co-workers and stranagers when they need it? To appreciate having the opportunity everyday to make a choice about what kind of day we will have no matter what happens? To always respond instead of react?

My commitment from this day forward is to choose everyday to appreciate life, make wise choices, respond instead of react and to be thankful for having this wonderful opportunity. How about you? Life is time… Make it count!™ Success Coach, Sue
